The Dawn of Memo Paris
This founding longing for distant journeys and unexpected encounters mirrors the founding couple: she, a Parisian poet of Catalan origin; he, an Irish globe-trotter and sportsman. Their multicultural paths gave them the desire to pay tribute to the diversity and beauty of the world through perfume.
“Travel Notes” captures the spirit of Memo Paris. The phrase plays on the word “notes”, drawing a connection between the actual notes of a fragrance and the thoughts or memories we might gather and keep along a journey.
First Journey
The first destination leads to Lalibela, inspiring a composition built around rose and myrrh, in homage to the majesty of a site carved into the rock in Ethiopia. We owe it to the talent of perfumer Aliénor Massenet: the beginning of a collaboration that still endures today. Other perfumers are also regularly invited to bring their own vision and creative freedom. Since Lalibela, some fifty fragrances have been created, all carried by that same intuition which links a place to an emotion.
Welcoming the Sun
The Memo Paris identity shines with the colour of a radiant sun — that founding star, so inspiring. A warm yellow, charged with energy, joy and freedom, like a concentrate of pollen, a source of life. A luminous, invigorating yellow that helps nature realise its potential, that allows plants and flowers to flourish, and Memo Paris fragrances to come into being.
